Hi, we thought you might like to hear how Adventure Africa came to be.

In 2013 one of my kids (I give horseback riding lessons) came home for a visit. She is our resident world traveler. She had planned a trip to Africa to climb Mt Kilimanjaro. She playfully asked if I wanted to come with her. I laughed thinking it was absurd. First she was leaving in 5 days, and second, there is no way I could leave the ranch for 10 days. My husband happened to walk up just then and said "why not?" There will never be another chance. So, I went. It was AMAZING. The people, the culture, the land, the colors, the opportunity. Our guide was professional and personal. It was perfect. On the 8 day trip, I got to know our lead guide; his family, his profession, his dreams. Faraja started as a porter and worked his way up to guide. He went to college and worked hard to be a lead guide. He has dreams to climb every large mountain in the world and of owning his own business to help other people fall in love with climbing. He had this great business plan, plenty of people to help, and all the equipment to get it started. What he lacked was a professional look to help people trust him.

My husband and I decided to help. We love dreamers. We love hope. God is amazing, you just have to believe and trust in Him. So we have started a travel agency of sorts that brings adventurous people to Faraja and Jande Adventures. We will have 5 different climbs and 4 different safaris when we hit the highlight of our business. Until then we have picked our best and most popular climb to get us started. Our goal is to make traveling fun and adventurous instead of scary and problematic. When I left for Africa I couldn't even get in touch with the climbing company. I didn't even have confirmation that I had a space in the upcoming climb. It was scary. The website was so conglomerated that it was like researching an encyclopedia. Overwhelming, scary, and frustrating. We tried to give you a 1-2-3 look to help make this decision easy and exciting. Thank you for letting us all be a part of your vacation. If we can do anything else, please don't hesitate to call, email, or use social media. Happy Trails.

You can get to know us better and meet our family at the ranch if you like. We are the Triple D Ranch in Colorado. Tripledranch.net
